CET High-Torque Connections
Command Enhanced Torque, in sixteen sizes from 2.875″ to 8.500″ tool joints. Full shoulder torque in 5¼ turns, six absolute landing threads, and a secondary torque shoulder.

Delta™ and CET at the Same Tool Joint Size
Six Delta connections and six CET connections share an identical tool joint outside and inside diameter. Where the envelope matches, either will drop into the same string design, so this is the cleanest way to see what each brand gives you at the size you are running. We stock and rent both.

The two torque columns are not the same measurement. Delta publishes a maximum make-up torque, the ceiling for the connection. CET publishes a recommended figure, which normally sits below its own maximum. So the gap between two numbers in one row is not a performance margin, and the higher number is not the stronger connection. Per the drilling manual, drilling torque should not exceed 80% of make-up torque either way. Confirm figures with us before making a torque decision.
Two Delta sizes have no exact counterpart: Delta™ 425 (5.250 × 3.000) and Delta™ 527 (6.500 × 3.750). The nearest CET connections, CET 43 and CET 50, share the tool joint ID but run 0.125 in larger on OD, so they are alternatives rather than equivalents. CET also covers sizes outside the Delta range, from CET 20 at 2.875 in up to CET 69 at 8.500 in. Full figures on the Delta specifications and CET specifications tables.

We stock and rent both families, so compare them freely. Read the basis column while you do. Delta figures are maximum make-up torque, the ceiling for the connection. CET figures are the recommended make-up torque published by Command Tubular Products, which normally sits below its own maximum. The two are not a like-for-like comparison, so sorting this column ranks the numbers rather than the connections. Per the drilling manual, drilling torque should not exceed 80% of make-up torque.
